Here is their story:

Jamie and Santiago met in senior year of high school; Santiago was the new kid and she helped him fit right in.

And when the big question was asked:

Jamie and Santiago traveled to the west coast with Santiago’s family. They were racing to make it to the Grand Canyon that afternoon before sunset, so when they finally arrived they were all running. Jamie didn’t have a clue, she just thought it was important to everyone that they make it so they would be able to see the sunset. They were taking pictures in a more secluded area at the canyon and when she turned around, Santiago was on his knees with the sunset behind him, and he asked Jamie to marry him.
