Hank’s close friend from childhood is married to Emily’s best friend from college and they introduced them to each other.

And When the Big Question Was Asked:

Hank planned a snowshoeing trek to an alpine lake in Colorado, but they got lost in a blizzard so they never made it to the lake where he wanted to propose. So he proposed at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
